IBM has unveiled a new storage system that can accommodate up to 180 terabytes (TB) of information and manage it through a simple interface. The Storwize V3700 is part of the new portfolio of IT solutions for SMEs, the company introduced earlier this month.
This new storage system is specially dedicated to large amounts of data that need to be analyzed and organized, which is known as Big Data. Storwize V3700 is the latest management system of IBM. It includes two types of disc formats, 3.5 and 6 inches, which can store up to 180 TB of information, four expansion units.
In total, provides up to 120 units per system. To make working with the data flow, IBM has designed a software with a simple and intuitive interface, structured information modules. Through the changes he made to the system configuration, similar to browsing the Web. It also provides the option to integrate with third-party management applications, which are specially designed to manage databases and email.
