If in the last few hours have tried joining some sites and you could not do it, do not worry: It's not your system, or your connection. Apparently, people from GoDaddy had problems with the operation of their DNS servers, leaving virtually all sites recorded in digital darkness. The problem seems to be solved and most, but are still investigating the cause, and has not missed a daily dose of rumors pointing to an unprovoked attack by a member of Anonymous, without direct intervention of the group.
During the last few hours I have received inquiries about possible problems in navigation and access to certain sites. With so many claims in a short time, everything was within easy reach the conclusion that something beyond the reach of users was happening. The confirmation came via Twitter, when people from GoDaddy revealed a few hours ago they were having problems with both its Web site and those sites registered under their hosting service. The problems also extended to GoDaddy mail service, and it appears that the source of the problem was located in the GoDaddy DNS servers, which for some reason failed to resolve addresses.
As to what caused the crash, still no solid data. Many sources have mentioned that one of the group Anonymous has claimed the fact. After the initial ads openly blamed the group, Anonymous said that it is an individual effort, rather than a coordinated attack against GoDaddy and resources. So far there is no evidence of a DoS attack against GoDaddy, but it is a possibility not yet be ruled out completely. Additional reports indicate that those who use the OpenDNS service managed temporary access to the affected sites.
Basically, what's done is impressive in its scale, because in theory every registered under GoDaddy site was affected. Within all one can say that the answer to the problem of GoDaddy was quick, and that at this moment the vast majority of sites now online again. The Anonymous member who obtains the attack (known as AnonymousOwn3r) stated that while it is not "anti GoDaddy", wanted to see how "safe" era of cybersecurity, and have other reasons kept secret for now. GoDaddy's main site is online, and Twitter channel has had no activity in the last two hours, but denies that his last message the user information has been compromised.
