Saving Face. This morning after walk I was having my breakfast when I heard news “A Pakistani Film nominated for Academy Award”. I was surprised and quickly switched channel to see it live. At that time award for “Directing” was happening. I stopped for while and checked online if it was already decided for “Documentary Short”, it wasn’t.
Next category “Documentary Feature” and then what I was waiting for and it was live on screen. This was the first time I felt pressure for something I didn’t do but I wanted it to happen. There were five contestants
- The Barber of Birmingham: Foot Soldier of the Civil Rights Movement
- God is the Bigger Elvis
- Incident in New Baghdad
- The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom
- Saving faces
