Samsung presented today in Madrid a new range of Smart Cameras, or smart cameras. Four models of cameras (WB850F, WB150F, DV300F, ST200F), and a video camera (QF20) able to share images and videos instantly, either for storage in the cloud or post on a social network (wirelessly), and is for viewing on any screen (the mobile, the tablet, the computer or TV).

According to Daniel Molero, director of the division of Samsung Digital Image, "these devices open up a new era of photography. Because unite the advantages of a camera and a compact hybrid, the two segments preferred by consumers. And they do it for to share or publish photos is an act almost as fast as pressing the shutter button. Easy, almost instanténeo and without cables or intermediate processes. "

A recent survey commissioned by the company claims that, in 2014, 50% of the cameras will be equipped with WiFi. Thus, connectivity, so far exclusive to computers, tablets and smartphones, is extended to these devices. And it is not to invent any new technology. In effect, what do the new cameras from Samsung and it has long ago any generation mobile phone. Of what it is to incorporate the same connectivity to a device able to provide many more features and quality of a mobile camera. The technology, therefore, already exists. What has changed is the environment use.

Another feature of the new Smart Cameras is its ease of use. On the screen (incorporating the bright AMOLED Samsung) are a series of icons. Each is an application and allows different actions and the contents of the camera. Thus, in the WiFi is an icon of "social networks" to send photos, for example, Facebook. Another "Email" with which we can send any image or video directly by email.

Another, "Mobile Link" allows us to export the content to a tablet or mobile phone. "Remote Viewfinder" goes one step further and turns any smartphone into a "remote" from the camera. When activated, the mobile screen in the same scene appears in the camera, and can be controlled from the phone functions such as zoom, shutter, self timer, flash ... Something really useful, for example, to record us and photograph us ourselves without having to register "by eye" against the target and in the few seconds that allows the trigger.

Rounding out applications series "Cloud", to store content remotely (eg Sky Drive), "Backup", which allows images automatically dump the computer hard drive, wireless, or the familiar "TV Link ", standard on phones from Samsung, with which we can instantly see any content on the camera on the computer screen.

Applications also are in the Google apps stores (Play Store) and Apple (App Store). Are free, and just install them on the phone to access all the features described.

Of course, the cameras come with photo and video editors, wide format, artistic brush, filters and a variety of preinstalled applications that ensure long hours of fun without having to disconnect the camera. As for optics, Schneider lenses incorporate optical zoom to 21x. One of the four models presented, the DV300 F, has a dual screen (one front), a feature unique to the brand that we saw in previous models.
