All hands to battle in London: Samsung stormed the Earls Court Exhibition Centre to present its newest, the Galaxy SIII. Over two thousand European participants were invited. Samsung partners and journalists are there to discover the new high-end smartphone.

Presentations, the new Galaxy SIII sports a more rounded design than its predecessor, the Galaxy SII. It also has a larger screen, which is not necessarily an advantage. Admittedly, the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (306 ppi) can play high definition videos and use the device for some functions of a tablet. But access to the upper corners of the screen with your thumbs is difficult to say the least. This could deter people with small hands to get this smartphone, which will be available in France in early June, from 649 euros. The device will be available in white or blue, not black, to the surprise of familiar with the brand.



"For humans"

At a conference Thursday afternoon, officials Samsung presented the product as "inspired by nature" and "developed for humans." And some features seem to confirm improved ergonomics. For example, the phone automatically dials the contact displayed on the screen if the user wears the device to the ear. Is captured, the software automatically recognizes faces and includes profiles + Facebook or Google to associate with the image. A function that will delight not necessarily defenders of privacy. Technically, the Galaxy SIII is compatible 4G (some versions). It embeds an 8-megapixel main camera and a 1.9 megapixel front, both capable of recording videos in HD. It has a gigabyte of RAM, and will be offered in three versions incorporating different storage capacities (16, 32 and 64GB). You can add a micro-SD memory card. It measures 136.6 mm x 70.6 mm x 8.6 mm, and weighs 133 grams.
