PS Vita, new update now available

With more than a month on the market, the new Sony handheld console, PlayStation Vita, is updated again. After some changes in the last update, which had been withdrawn by the company Nippon, now comes a slightly improved version, mainly for fixing a bug found in a game whose release was made only for the moment, in Japan, which could still reach other continents later.

Last week the release of version 1.65, one of the first updates I received the console since its launch late last February, focused on improvements such as enabling or disabling alerts or automatic shutdown, among other things. Due to an error when installing on some devices, the update was withdrawn, preferring to wait to correct it and release it along with other improvements, to avoid continuous updates and have a far more polished.

This 1.67 update comes to the whole of Europe, which in addition to the features included in the 1.65 correction of the game Dream Club Zero, a cartoon game adult court not yet available on our continent, related to the operation of the camera. It is still unknown launch Dream Club Zero in Europe, but to reach is no longer necessary to wait for a correction of the game.

The most notable improvements are in addition to those discussed above, a better implementation LiveArea, now we are advised of new types of events, and updates, alerts and other warnings already included in the application. The 1.67 update becomes the second update with more changes to get the laptop from its launch, having already received improvements to the geolocation of the 3G model and the map application we have received your console at the same time as the connected Internet first.

Usually updates are not important and need to update our PS Vita at the time, but later the next games console may require up to date regarding upgrades and start updating itself. If your console is the 3G model and we have selected a flat rate data or engaged any rate, it is likely that the console will automatically notify and begin the update itself.

Upgrade the console is as easy as connecting to the internet with it and download the installer from about 100 MB in size. You can also update your console via the PC and using a specific program for Sony, the Content Manager Assist PS Vita and, once installed and connected to the console, select the option to upgrade firmware. We may also use a memory card containing the update to do if we have it.
