Stuxnet the Iranian double agent introduced through a USB

So says the latest report ISSSource through several intelligence officials indicating that Stuxnet used to sabotage Iran's nuclear program was introduced by a double agent working for Israel. The agent would have used a USB to infect machines from the nuclear facilities at Natanz.

Once infected memory Stuxnet was able to infiltrate the network when a user opened Natanz Windows. According to the report, it would be a covert operation in Israel and the United States to sabotage and spreading the infection of the worm on computers most vulnerable of the Iranian system.



The data also indicate that the double agent was probably a member of an Iranian dissident group, possibly the group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq, a group which is believed to be behind the killings of key Iranian nuclear scientists at the behest of Mossad.

And is that Stuxnet has been formed as one of the most advanced cyber weapons of all time. Exploit its activity allowed up to four unknown Windows vulnerability and took advantage of the weaknesses of Step7 Simatic WinCC, the same used to control the machinery inside Natanz. This disrupted the nuclear program by sabotaging the machines to enrich uranium.

A worm designed to spread widely and scheduled to execute its malicious payload with a very selective list of your goals.
